KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation was incorporated with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 1992 as a Stock Corporation, and is duly registered manning agency under the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA).

As part of its policy we are offering high quality but cost competitive service packages to principals, KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation has involve itself in three main activities to answer the present maritime industry requirements.

Crewing, being one of the major cost factors of operating ships was chosen to be the principal activity of the company. To meet the operational requirements of said activity, KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation has developed new strategies and reorganized itself to be able to address particularly the shore personnel’s competence issue. Another area that recently been upgraded is the crewing department which has efficiently adopted new system in identifying training needs of its workers as well as competence assessment procedure prior to boarding.

Furthermore, two minor activities of the company focused on extension services such as Ship Agency Functions and Chandling. KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation has enough technical support to perform even up to providing superintendency during dry docking and ship repairs in Philippine waters. It has also the ability to supply vessels with any of its stores, fuel and lubrication requirements at the most reasonable price.

KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation believes that strong pool of committed manpower combined with industry knowledge are means to achieving a good long-term relationship with our clients.

c. Good relationship with principals shall be developed and maintained through proper cooperation to ensure clear cut understanding of services that KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation can deliver within a given time frame and framed work;
d. Prevention of non-conformity and errors shall be actively pursued.

Business Mission

KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation shall provide our clients with qualified, well-trained and highly motivated personnel on time and supported with proper documentation (in compliance to the STCW ’78 as amended in 1995).

To ensure on-time performance in the most economical manner, this work shall be undertaken by shore side personnel with proper qualification, know-how and experience in selection of skilled workers and evaluation processes.

KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation is committed to the belief that continued learning is essential to the mind and therefore in-service training is essential for both sea and shore staff.

We respect our employees as individuals and as members of the team, and encourage their growth through continuous upgrading seminars/workshops. KORPIL Shipmanagement and Manning Corporation had also acquired services of external training consultants to do training needs evaluation and conduct training to support our effort in coming up with the best employee available.
